What Is Yog ?

Yog is a purifying method. cleansing of the body and mind. About 2500+ years ago, Maharshi Patanjali organised the Patanjali Yog sutra body and brought it together. He has laid out eight actions. 1] Yam 2] Niyam 3] Asan 4] Pranayam 5] Pratyahar 6] Dharna 7] Dhyana and 8] Samadhi.

Astang Yog refers to the entire process from the Yam to the Samadhi. Beginning with the mere self, it leads to the true self. Yog is primarily a mental practice. Yogic practice first impacts the body before moving on to the intellect and other intangible aspects of the human being.

How It Is Helpful ?

The yogic process is a psychosomatic one. Breath, or pran, exists between the body and the psyche. In addition to helping your body rid itself of impurities, proper breathing may maintain your mind in good shape. Therefore, proper breathing can promote both physical and mental wellness. Respiratory system is referred to as breathing. It is partially voluntary and partially involuntary, but both can be improved with yoga.

Many diseases have strong psychological foundations. Years of mental and breathing disruption build up toxins in the body and eventually reduce the ability of essential organs to function. Diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure are the result of this disturbance. We don’t pay attention to the disturbance at first till it develops into an illness.

Yoga can assist in overcoming and combating various PSYCHOSOMATIC illnesses. It may restore equilibrium to the homeostasis. Yoga teaches us how to live a happy, healthy life.
